Orton-Gillingham (OG) is a research-based approach to reading instruction designed especially for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. It teaches reading, spelling, and writing in a structured and sequential way, starting with basic skills and gradually building to more complex ones. Lessons are multisensory, meaning children learn through seeing, hearing, and doing at the same time, which helps strengthen understanding and memory. OG instruction is also diagnostic and prescriptive, so teachers continually assess progress and adjust lessons to meet each child’s specific needs. This individualized, step-by-step approach makes OG a gold‑standard method for helping struggling readers build confidence and success.

Program Cost
Session Rate: $85 / hour
Please note we are only accepting applicants who can commit to 2 sessions per week during the 2026-2027 school year.

Our specialized Orton-Gillingham tutoring program is designed specifically for children with a dyslexia diagnosis. Using a proven 1:1 multi-sensory approach, we explicitly teach the structure and rules of language to build true decoding skills.
