What Is Neurodiversity Celebration Week?

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a global movement dedicated to recognizing and valuing the many ways minds learn, think, and process information. At CDL, this principle guides everything we do. We embrace strength‑based, inclusive approaches that honour the experiences of neurodiverse children, youth, and families.

This week, we highlight the importance of access, equity, and community support for learners who think differently.

The Need in Our Community

CDL is the only non-profit in Ontario offering free, evidence‑based small‑group academic programs designed specifically for neurodiverse learners.

I absolutely LOVE this program! I am extremely grateful that this amazing program is available for children to access free of charge. It makes such a positive difference in filling in learning gaps etc. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

– Leaps in Literacy Parent

The tutors are patient, knowledgeable, and truly invested in her success. It’s clear that CDL goes above and beyond to create a positive learning experience, and I couldn’t be happier with the progress she’s making!’

– Mastering Mathematics Parent

Not only did this program help my child, the parent communication let me know what he was working on so that in social situations if there was an opportunity to practice or he was going off course I could gently remind.

– Social Skills Parent

Since joining every week she is excited to tell me about the new skills that she has learned and how she thinks it will benefit her. I have also seen her use some of the techniques at home without me having to prompt her to do it
