Title: From High School to Higher Learning: Building Executive Function Skills for Post-Secondary Success
Description: A workshop for parents/caregivers and high school students looking to enter college or university, this session helps make the invisible expectations for postsecondary education visible. The executive function skills that matter most, what parents can do now without micromanaging, and what students can practice before post-secondary.
Students are encouraged to attend with their parents/caregivers.
Bio: Sarah Zeilstra, M.Ed. is an executive function coach, learning strategist, college professor and academic advisor who supports neurodiverse students in building the skills they need to succeed in post-secondary education and beyond. Through her practice, Student Success Coaching, she helps students develop practical systems for planning, time management, emotional regulation and independence.

Upcoming Peer to Peer Sessions:

Free | Monthly | Virtual

Thanks to funding from the Halton Region, we’re excited to offer free monthly Peer-to-Peer Connection Calls for parents and caregivers of neurodiverse children and youth.

These calls are a chance to connect with other parents and caregivers who “get it.” Each session includes a few guided conversation prompts to help get things started, but the heart of the call is simple, space to talk, listen, share experiences, and feel less alone.

There’s no pressure to prepare, no expectation to share more than you’re comfortable with, and no formal presentation. You’re welcome to come as you are — camera on or off, listening quietly or joining the conversation.

A member of our team will be present to support the technology and ensure the space runs smoothly, but the conversation itself belongs to you.

Whether you’re looking for connection, validation, shared strategies, or just a place to breathe with people who understand — these calls are here for you.
